Goodbye second trimester, Hello Third Trimester

This week, I begin my third trimester (AHHHHHHH) :) Just kidding. I'm really excited to be at this point and things are going well. According to babycenter, Sprout weighs as much as a Chinese cabbage (?) and is about 14 inches from head to toe... Sprout entertains me daily with all of his/her movement. It usually makes me giggle... especially when Sprout will kick and I poke and then Sprout will kick again. :)

I am feeling good... tired but good. I went yesterday to learn about my gestational diabetes and it really isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. In fact, the diet reminded me a lot of Weight Watchers...portion control being the biggest thing. I was very happy to learn I will still be eating carbs, just a limited amount. I was SO happy to learn I wasn't going to have to eat eggs every morning. (I ate eggs every morning last week, after learning of the GD and am already sick of them... and I LOVE eggs!) Anyway, I also learned what my blood sugar levels should be and how to check them. They gave me one of these http://www.onetouchdiabetes.com/ultramini/ I picked purple. I feel kinda dorky because it's fun to check to see what my number is... I feel like it's a test and if it's a good number then I get an A+! I know that will soon get old, but I am making the most of it now and enjoying it.

I so know what you mean!! I used to get so anxious before checking my numbers and then when it was good I was so excited, like I had just aced a test or something :)

I never responded to your email -- and I hate to say, but I was going to mention eggs :) And peanut butter and string cheese -- those are the three things I got so sick of eating by the time it was done!

OK, I'll drop you an email so everyone else doesn't have to endure my lengthy comments :)
